Preparing for a Shoot in JCPenney Portrait Studio

A photo shoot in the JCPenney Portrait Studio needs plenty of sincere effort if you want it to be a winner. Of course, you shouldn't worry, because their professionals will do most of the work. Below is a break down list of all the things to consider as you get ready for the photo session.

The most important tip is to relax and not take too much stress.

It's a great idea to know how you'll style the hair for the shoot. Alternatively you can practice every morning for a couple of days to get it the way you want it. Don't get it cut right before the session if it does not turn out perfect. Also, make sure you're confident with your great new look. In case you get your hair cut or dyed do so 6 - 8 days before.

To complete the look, you can add make-up for final touch. Applying the right amount of make-up for the session brings out that perfectly finished face without looking too loud or too aggressive.

Furthermore, you may want to pay special attention to your fingernails. Ensure your fingernails are looking their best.

Shave for photo session. One to two days before the session make sure you wax or shave the arms, underarm, legs, and basically any other body parts that may show. Furthermore, thread your eyebrows.

Go to tanning salons 5 to 6 days before going to the shoot.

Do not forget to get a good night's sleep before the photo session. In case you feel tired and lethargic it is likely to show in the photos regardless of how much Photoshop is done. Most of all, a session has to be fun. Once you arrive at the shoot be full of energy and relaxed.

Do you have to purchase expensive clothes for the session? The answer to this question is quite simple - no you do not have to get new stylish clothes. You should have your every day clothes. Clothes for the shoot should be plain, feminine and clean. It's better to choose a dress or a blouse, opening a neck and hands. In case you have bought brand new clothes for the 'big day', it's good for you to wear these one or two times before the session to get comfortable with.

It is advisable to practice different poses in the mirror at home. You may also look in your favorite magazines for ideas.

Be on time!
